Install for Chrome

We're not on the Chrome Web Store yet. Download the package and load it unpacked. Takes about a minute.

Download extension

What's new

  1. Download the extension package and unzip it.
  2. Open your extensions page: chrome://extensions
  3. Turn on Developer mode (top right).
  4. Click Load unpacked and select the unzipped folder.
  5. Open the Annotated sidebar from the toolbar icon.

The zip includes manifest.json and everything else Chrome needs. Keep the unzipped folder in place after installing.

Annotated is a sidebar Chrome extension that lets users highlight and quickly clip media, text, audio, or video, from any website, then add their own commentary and annotations. Annotations are saved on a landing page that links back to the original source, and shared on a public social media feed. Users can follow one another and engage with each others' annotations.
